SUMMARY

Post Basic Infection Control Programme (PBIC) is a skill-based higher learning programme that implements a six (6) month full-time academic calendar with one (1) semester. The semester will be conducted within a 17 weeks period. This programme is structured with regard to the standard guidelines of the Malaysian Nursing Board and provisionally accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA/PA 15521).

Through this program, students will be able to apply current knowledge to become professional, knowledgeable, and competence nurse in infection control in providing safe and skillful nursing care that, thus preparing them to fulfill their professional career in competitive global market.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE 

Upon completion of the programme students will be equipped with advanced skills and knowledge of highest quality care focusing in infection prevention. It will enhance their leadership qualities, communication skills, teamwork and critical thinking abilities.

Entry Requirement

For Malaysian students

  • Possess Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution
  • Registered with the NBM
  • Possess current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) for nurses
  • Minimum two (2) years clinical working experience
