SUMMARY
Diploma in Healthcare Management is a professional study that encompasses the medical field and management. This programme enables its graduates to contribute effectively to the healthcare management needs within the healthcare industry through appropriate knowledge of management, personal skills and business leadership skills required in the industry. A diploma in Healthcare Management provides graduates a solid foundation that enables them to pursue diverse career opportunities in healthcare sectors such as hospitals, clinics, public health departments, rehabilitation centers, community health organizations, nursing homes, health insurance organizations, healthcare consulting firms, universities and research institutions.
PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the programme are:
- To equip graduates with relevant and strong hospital administration, business skills, and healthcare knowledge in order to manage healthcare organizations.
- To equip graduates with technical, problem-solving and scientific skills relevant to the healthcare industry.
- To ensure graduates with professional attitudes with practice good ethical conduct and social responsibility.
Entry Requirement
Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)
PASS in Bahasa Malaysia and English and THREE (3) credits in the following subjects:
- Mathematics or ONE (1) science subject (Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science/Applied Science); and
- Any other TWO (2) subjects (including Bahasa Malaysia and/or English)
GCE/O-Level or equivalent
PASS in Bahasa Malaysia or English and THREE (3) Grade C in the following subjects:
- Mathematics or ONE (1) science subject (Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science/Applied Science); and
- Any other TWO (2) subjects (including Bahasa Malaysia and/or English)
Other certificate
Certificate (Level 3, Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) related to Health Sciences with minimum CGPA of 2.50
