SUMMARY

The Bachelor of Science in Cardiovascular Technology (Honours) is a 3 years and 5 months undergraduate program designed to equip students with the theorectical knowledge, clinical skills, and professional competencies necessary to become skilled Cardiovascular Technologist. This program bridges foundational sciences with hands-on clinical training, focusing on the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular diseases using advanced medical training.

PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES

The objectives of programme are:

  • Demonstrate good clinical skills and knowledge in cardiovascular technology to meet the demands of the healthcare industry and managing cardiovascular conditions in diverse healthcare settings.
  • Exhibit strong communication and teamwork abilities, working collaboratively with healthcare professionals and patients to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care and support.
  • Proficiently utilize and adapt to emerging cardiovascular technologies and innovations, contributing to improved patient outcomes and advancement in the field
  • Adhere to the highest standards of professional practice, including ethical guidelines and patients care protocols, ensuring excellent performance in their roles within the cardiovascular fields.

Entry Requirement

Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) / Matriculation / A-Level / Pre- University programme or its equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.50 in the following subjects:

  • Biology
  • Chemistry

And 5 credits or equivalent at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level 3 of which in the following subjects:

  • Mathematics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • English

OR

A diploma (Level 4, Malaysia Qualifications Framework, MQF) in Health Sciences and related field from recognized institutions with minimum CGPA of 2.75

A diploma (Level 4, Malaysia Qualifications Framework, MQF) in Health Sciences and related field from recognised institutions with CGPA less than 2.75 and a minimum of 3 years (36 months) working experience in the same field.

AND

English Competency Requirement (International Student):
Malaysia University English Test (MUET) with minimum of Band 3 or its equivalent
