IJN University College is proud to welcome 25 new students into its Patient Care Assistant (PCA) program, launched on 9 June 2025. This special intake is part of a meaningful collaboration between Majlis Agama Islam & ‘Adat Melayu Perak (MAIPk), Hospital Fatimah Ipoh, and IJN University College—a partnership aimed at empowering asnaf (underprivileged) communities through healthcare education.
A Life-Changing Opportunity for Asnaf Students
These 25 students, all asnaf beneficiaries under MAIPk, will undergo a 3-month intensive PCA training program. Upon successful completion, they will immediately begin their healthcare careers at Hospital Fatimah, one of Ipoh’s well-established private hospitals.
This initiative not only opens the door to stable employment but also equips students with the skills and confidence to succeed in the growing healthcare industry.
Transforming Lives Through Education
At IJN University College, we believe that education is a powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty. By offering structured training and guaranteed job placements, the PCA program helps students build a foundation for a better future—for themselves and their families.
This program exemplifies our core mission: to create accessible, inclusive, and industry-relevant education that changes lives.
A Model for Community Impact
The collaboration between MAIPk, IJN University College, and Hospital Fatimah serves as a model of how strategic partnerships can uplift communities and address workforce needs in the healthcare sector.
We are honored to support these aspiring healthcare assistants and remain committed to building more pathways to success for underprivileged Malaysians.
