IJN University College (IJNUC) has proudly taken a significant step toward global academic collaboration by conducting its first International Education Visit to Thailand, held from 22 to 25 May 2025. This historic milestone marks a new era of internationalization for IJNUC, expanding its reach in cross-border educational experiences and global learning opportunities.
Strengthening Ties in Mental Health and Higher Education
The inaugural visit began with a stop at Songkhla Rajanagarindra Psychiatric Hospital, the leading mental health care facility in Songkhla, Thailand. IJNUC delegates explored the hospital’s integrated approach to mental health care, gaining insights into psychiatric treatment frameworks, patient care models, and best practices in public mental health systems.
This visit aligns with IJNUC’s continuous commitment to enhancing healthcare education and understanding international health standards—especially in the field of mental health education and training.
Academic Collaboration at Prince of Songkla University
The delegation then visited Prince of Songkla University (PSU), one of Thailand’s most prestigious universities. This interaction allowed IJNUC staff and faculty to explore PSU’s state-of-the-art educational infrastructure and understand student life and cultural dynamics. The visit opened doors for potential academic collaborations, student exchange programs, and joint research initiatives.
Cultural Exposure and Sustainable Learning
Beyond institutional visits, the IJNUC team also explored local industries and community projects, including a fascinating visit to a Bee Farm. These experiences enriched participants’ understanding of sustainable agriculture, local entrepreneurship, and Thai culture—reinforcing IJNUC’s vision of holistic education that embraces both academic and cultural dimensions.
Advancing Global Education at IJNUC
This international education visit signifies IJNUC’s evolving role as a hub for global academic engagement and international partnerships. By exploring new frontiers in education and healthcare, IJNUC is setting a solid foundation for future collaborations that will benefit students, faculty, and the wider academic community.
As part of its global education strategy, IJNUC will continue to foster international academic exchange, enhance cross-cultural learning, and champion innovation in teaching and research.
