A Celebration of Unity and Spiritual Growth
On 13 March 2025, the Student Representative Council (SRC) of IJN College proudly hosted the “Majlis Berbuka Puasa and Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony“, a meaningful event that brought together 50 dedicated students for the Khatam Al-Quran session held in the afternoon.
The ceremony was enriched with Terawih prayers and a Maghrib Tazkirah, thoughtfully delivered by IJN College students, fostering a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. The presence of Prof. Emerita Dr. Durrishah Idrus, the Chief Executive of IJN College, added immense value to the event. During the presentation of souvenirs to the Khatam Al-Quran participants, she shared profound words of motivation:
“In this month of Ramadan, we are expected to change for the better. From someone who does not like to read to someone who loves reading, and from someone who lacks interest in knowledge to someone who embraces it.”

This inspiring message resonated deeply with the audience, encouraging personal growth and the pursuit of knowledge.
Adding to the event’s inclusivity, non-Muslim students were warmly welcomed to witness the Khatam Al-Quran ceremony and join the breaking fast experience, fostering a sense of unity and harmony within the IJN College community.
Building Bonds and Embracing Diversity
IJN College remains committed to nurturing a culture of unity, respect, and continuous learning. Events like this strengthen bonds among students from diverse backgrounds and reinforce the college’s core values of inclusivity and spiritual development.
We look forward to more meaningful gatherings that celebrate diversity and promote positive transformation.
