On 21 January 2025, IJN College proudly conducted a courtesy visit to the Johor Islamic Religious Council (MAIJ) to strengthen its commitment to community development and educational empowerment, particularly for the asnaf group.
The primary objective of the visit was to explore collaborative opportunities aimed at enabling children from the asnaf community to pursue higher education and build successful careers. This aligns with IJN College’s mission to create inclusive educational pathways for underserved communities.
Representing IJN College, Mr. Muhazzar Mansor, Head of the Business Development Division, and Puan Ikhsan Hidayah, a lecturer, led the discussions during this visit. Among the key highlights was the introduction of the Patient Care Assistant (PCA) program, a specialized course designed to equip asnaf students with skills for meaningful employment. Graduates of the PCA program not only gain access to job opportunities at the National Heart Institute (IJN) but also benefit from placements with other industry-leading partners.
By offering targeted educational programs and career support, IJN College is actively contributing to breaking the cycle of poverty within the asnaf community. The institution firmly believes that knowledge is the gateway to economic independence and societal advancement.
IJN College’s collaboration with MAIJ underscores its dedication to building a brighter future for the Johor community. Through initiatives like this, the college aims to empower individuals, inspire change, and create sustainable growth for the asnaf group and beyond.
